Designing for web-offset press printing is not the same as for any other media. Images and color saturation require special attention to look great in the published work. If a designer is unaware of how to professionally produce for this type of printing, the output quality will suffer greatly.

Offset and Digital Printing Design.

Offset and Digital printing are the two most used methods in the industry. These two are how we get the majority of our printed products when ordering online. When commercially printing business cards, postcards, brochures, invitations, etc., it will with one of these two processes. Designing for these requires a CMYK color mode, not RGB. People that print RGB files in a CMYK print environment are going to be bountifully disappointed with the finished work.

Web Use Design.

This type of design is the most freewheeling of all. The only rules are in regards to the pixel range and file size. The unfortunate issue is, every platform has different requirements. The image posted to Facebook is one size, and Instagram a different, and so on. This is the case with every other online venue. Doesn’t matter if your posting to Google or Linkedin, or any other site, they all have their individual image size requirements.
